Well, it took me a while (what a shame) but I finally switched all my e-mail access to IMAP. Before, I was still a retrograd using mostly POP - sik.
It's really more handy now: I can just configure Thunderbird and get identical access to my mailboxes (the main one on Rackspace and another one on GoogleApps) from everywhere. And I can still have my local copy of all messages automatically, like with POP.
So goodby POP and thanks IMAP... well, at least until I reach the 10 GB mailbox limit on Rackspace. :-)
